Get ready for a fantastic day of fun and fitness at the St. James Elementary School Royal Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk, taking place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in the scenic Denver, Lincoln area! This exciting event promises to be a memorable experience for participants of all ages, whether you choose to run, jog, or stroll. The 5K race kicks off at 8:30 AM at the Verdict Ridge Pool parking lot, located at 1633 Withers Drive. Before the race, enjoy pre-race warm-ups and activities, along with packet pick-up starting from 7:00 AM.
Join us in supporting St. James Elementary School, as all proceeds will directly benefit school programming and supplies for our children. Participants will receive an event T-shirt, finishers medals for kids, and age group certificates, while awards will be given to the top male and female finishers, along with the top three in various age categories. UPDATE - EVENT POSTPONED **NEW DATE FEBRUARY 21st**
In consideration of everyones safety and in an abundance of caution, we need to postpone the 5K.
The forecast for this Saturday is calling for snow, ice and below freezing temperatures. When we called it the Chilly Chase, this is not what we had in mind!
We are looking for alternative dates and will communicate new details as soon as we can.
All registrations and sponsorships will transfer to the new date.

This kids dash is for kids 5 and under and will take place during the finish line festival. Participating kids and caregiver(s) should report to the starting line in the VR Pool Parking Lot. Kids will take one turn around the track and get to run across the official finish line! Each kids dash participant will receive a special medal when the cross the finish line.
