Get ready for an exciting day of fun and fitness at the 9th Annual St. Louis Catholic School Cougar Chase 5K Run/Walk in Austin, Travis! On Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 8:00 AM, participants of all ages will gather for a vibrant community event that includes a challenging 5K run/walk, a Kids Fun Run, and an all-new Breakfast with Santa option starting around 8:30 AM.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a leisurely walk, the Cougar Chase offers something for everyone. With registration fees at just $15 for the 5K and only $10 for kids aged 8 and under to join the 1-mile run, it’s an affordable way to get active while supporting a great cause. In addition to the race, participants can indulge in a delicious pancake breakfast, strengthening ties within the St. Louis Parish and School Community. Runners will have the chance to win exciting prizes, including awards for the top male and female finishers, as well as age and school grade-based prizes. Join us for a fantastic morning filled with community spirit, athletic achievement, and holiday cheer!

We welcome you to join us for the 9TH ANNUAL ST. LOUIS COUGAR CHASE 5K RUN/WALK and Kids Fun Run, brought to you by _TOYOTA OF NORTH AUSTIN_ [https://www.toyotaofnorthaustin.com/]! The race features professional timing and offers prizes to the top competitors, so start your training now! This event is paired up with Breakfast with Santa (starting ~8:30a) again this year, so after you run you can fill up on pancakes and help build our St Louis Parish and School Community.
Fees for the 5K ARE ONLY $15, 1-MILE JUST $10 (only for kids 8U), and all kids age 8 and under can run the untimed Chase the Cougar 400m on the SLCS Ox Emerson Track for free!
Packet Pickup:
We will pass out race bags and shirts (shirts ordered separately of registration) the Friday before the race to SLCS families. These will be given with your child before pickup. We will also have morning-of packet pickup starting at 7:30a before the race.
Awards:
Overall Male and Female Prizes as well as Age/School Grade based prizes will be handed out this year.
What Are We Racing For?
With funds raised from previous years we were able to install a shot put & discus pad with cage, and purchased a high jump landing pad. This year we are excited to further support the development of our Cougar Athletics.

Cougar Chase 1 Mile (Only 1 Loop) Run/Walk: Kids 8 Years Old & Under

This will be just 1 loop around the campus course and will help to bridge the gap between the 400meter Chase-the-Cougar on the Track, for the 5yo to 8yo who want to gain experience and confidence in a race before doing the whole 5K. -
