Join us for the uplifting "Steps for Stegman" event on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Topeka, Shawnee! This inspiring 5K walk/run, hosted by Jardine Elementary, is dedicated to supporting our beloved Instructional Coach, Dr. Bridget Stegman, who is bravely battling ALS. Participants will enjoy a scenic route through the neighborhood surrounding Jardine Elementary, all while raising funds for the ALS Association, Mid-America Chapter. Over the past two years, this heartwarming event has already raised an impressive $11,164!
Check-in begins at 9:00 AM, with the run kicking off at 10:00 AM. All registrants who sign up by April 21st will receive a special event T-shirt to commemorate their participation. Whether you're running, walking, or simply cheering from the sidelines, you can make a difference! Don’t forget to treat yourself to some delicious snacks from Poppin Squeeze at the event. Parking is available in the West and South lots, making it easy for everyone to join in the fun. Come be a part of this meaningful day and help us support a great cause!

Organiser's Description
Jardine Elementary is hosting a 5K walk/run through the neighborhood in honor and support of our Instructional Coach, Dr. Bridget Stegman. She was diagnosed with ALS, and proceeds for the event will go toward the ALS Association, Mid-America Chapter [https://www.alsa-midamerica.org/]. We in 2 years we have raised $11,164 from Steps for Stegman.
The 5K will take participants through the neighborhood around Jardine Elementary. Parking is available in the West and South parking lots. The event will start on the East side of the building.
All registrants will receive an event T-shirt, if registration is completed by April 21st. If you are unable to participate in the race, but still want to contribute, please click the "Donate" button! If you would like to receive a t-shirt, you must register as a runner, even if you don't plan to run/walk.
