Join us in Peckville, Lackawanna, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, for the Stomp Out Soldier Suicide Run/Walk, a spirited event dedicated to raising awareness and taking action against veteran suicide. Kicking off at 9:00 AM at the Blakely Borough Recreation Complex, participants will hit the pavement for a flat and fast 2.2-mile course designed to challenge both body and spirit. In a unique twist, the event introduces MISSION 22, where runners will tackle 22-repetition challenges, including push-ups, sit-ups, and squats, all while completing the course.
This uplifting event aims to honor our heroes and reduce the heartbreaking statistic of 22 soldiers lost to suicide each day. With awards up for grabs for the overall top male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female racers in various age groups, there’s plenty of incentive to lace up your running shoes! Registration opens at 7:30 AM, with costs set at just $15 for children 17 and under and $20 for adults, increasing by $5 on race day. Join us as we hit the pavement to Stomp Out Soldier Suicide! Most of us have heard the statistic that 22 soldiers commit suicide a day. Studies show that Veterans are at 50% higher risk of suicide than their peers who have not served. We are on a mission to reduce that number to zero and we need your help!
Helping Heroes NEPA presents our Stomp Out Soldier Suicide Run/Walk that will be held at Blakely Borough Recreation Complex on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 9:00 am. The course will be flat and fast and the cause worthy.
Awards for the 2.2 Mile run will be presented to the overall male and female, top male and female masters as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group.
