Get ready for a delightful day of fun and fitness at the second annual Strawberry Shortcake 5K, happening on Sunday, June 8th, 2025, in the beautiful Switchyard Park, Bloomington, Monroe! This exciting event kicks off the beloved Strawberry Shortcake Festival and begins at 9 AM. Runners will enjoy a scenic course that takes them on a tour of the park, passing playgrounds and dog parks, with a turnaround at Country Club Road before heading back to the Pavilion for a celebratory finish.
Participants are encouraged to register early, as t-shirts are guaranteed only to those who sign up before May 26th, 2025. Not only will you get to experience the joy of running in a vibrant community event, but you will also be supporting the local Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington. Plus, this year, the Strawberry Shortcake 5K is part of The Magnificent 7 Race Series, where completing at least 7 races in the series opens the door to exciting awards. Join us for a sweet morning of running, community spirit, and celebration—all for a great cause!

The SECOND ANNUAL STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE 5K will kick off the annual Strawberry Shortcake Festival. Join us on SUNDAY, JUNE 8TH, 2025 AT 9AM in Switchyard Park. This _sweet_ race is sponsored by the Auxiliary to the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington and supports our local Clubs! The course will take you on a tour of Switchyard Park. Starting at the Pavilion, and heading south toward Country Club Road, you will pass the playground and dog parks. Turning around at Country Club Road, you will traverse the park until you get to Hopscotch Coffee. Don't stop there! Turn once more and finish back at the Pavilion to celebrate your completion. Get outside, have fun, and help us support the kids of Bloomington!
THERE'S MORE! This year, we are so proud to be joining The Magnificent 7 Race Series! The Mag 7 Race Series consists of 21 races located within a 7-county area in south-central Indiana. Individuals who complete at least 7 of these races during a given year are automatically eligible for Series awards. Check them out at mag7raceseries.com for more information.
