Starting at 9 AM, runners will embark on a scenic 5K course that meanders through the beautiful park, showcasing playgrounds, dog parks, and the inviting Hopscotch Coffee.
This year, the event is part of The Magnificent 7 Race Series, which features a total of 21 races across south-central Indiana. Complete at least seven races in the series to qualify for special awards! Be sure to register before May 26th to guarantee your exclusive event t-shirt. After the race, join in the festivities with delicious snacks and refreshing coffee, and don't miss out on Cardinal Spirits' signature strawberry cocktail available at a special discount for participants. The Second Annual Strawberry Shortcake 5K will kick off the annual Strawberry Shortcake festival. Join us on Sunday, June 8th, 2025 at 9am in Switchyard Park. Join us for this _sweet_ race to support our local Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington! This year we are so proud to be joining The Magnificent 7 Race Series! The Mag 7 Race Series consists of 21 races located within a 7-county area in south-central Indiana. Individuals who complete at least 7 of these races during a given year are automatically eligible for Series awards. Check them out at mag7raceseries.com for more information.
Sponsored by the Auxiliary to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bloomington, this course will take you on a tour of Switchyard Park. Starting at the Pavilion, and heading south toward Country Club Road, you will pass the playground and dog parks. Turning around at Country Club Road, you will traverse the park until you get to Hopscotch Coffee. Don't stop there! Turn once more and finish back at the Pavilion to celebrate your completion. Enjoy snacks and coffee in the morning. In the afternoon, take advantage of Cardinal Spirits signature strawberry cocktail, created for this year's festival, with your race discount! Get outside, have fun, and help us support the kids of Bloomington!
