Join us for the exhilarating Striders Dismal Swamp 5-Miler and 1-Miler on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in beautiful Chesapeake, Kanawha! This exciting spring festival features a scenic 5-mile out-and-back course on a closed two-lane roadway within the picturesque Dismal Swamp Trail Park. Runners of all ages can also take part in the 1-Mile race, perfect for those looking to enjoy a shorter distance while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.
The day kicks off with the 5-Miler starting at 8:00 AM, followed by the 1-Miler at 9:30 AM. Participants can look forward to a fun-filled event complete with T-shirts, on-site hospitality, and refreshments post-race. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 5-Mile and 1-Mile races, alongside age group awards for the 5-Mile event. Don't miss out on early packet pickup on April 24th or register by 9 PM on race day for a fantastic day of community, competition, and camaraderie!

COURSE: THIS IS A 2.5-MILE OUT AND 2.5-MILE BACK COURSE ON THE CLOSED 2-LANE ROADWAY AT THE DISMAL SWAMP TRAIL PARK IN CHESAPEAKE. ONE MILER IS .5 MILES OUT AND BACK. 1 MILE IS AN UP-AND-BACK ON THE TRAIL
PACKET PICKUP: EARLY PACKET PICK WILL BE AT POINT 2 RUNNING COMPANY, CHESAPEAKE, ON FRIDAY, APRIL 24TH, FROM 3-6 PM! RACE DAY PICK-UP WILL START AT 7 AM
FLUIDS AND FOOD: THERE WILL BE 1 AID STATION WITH WATER. THE AID STATION LOCATION WILL BE AT 2.5 MILES.
AMENITIES & POST-RACE: T-SHIRTS WILL BE PROVIDED. ONSITE HOSPITALITY & REFRESHMENTS
