Organiser's Description
The Mayodan Lions Club will host Strides for Diabetes Awareness, 5K and 1 mile fun run to raise funds and awareness in our local community. The concept is simple, run or walk a 5K course and 100% of the proceeds from our fundraising will aid diabetes camp, low boxes, and donations to Rockingham County School nurses to assist diabetic students. This will give us a unique opportunity to discuss diabetes and the importance of improving our health through exercising and eating right, while also being able to bond as a community.
