Join us for the uplifting Fifth Annual Stroll Into Light on Sunday, November 15th, 2026, at Mount Tabor High School Track in Winston-Salem, Forsyth. Starting at 6:00 PM, this moving candlelight event aims to raise awareness about mental health issues and support those battling anxiety, depression, and more. Participants will receive a candle to carry as they walk together in solidarity, symbolizing hope and community.
The event features an engaging program with opening remarks and a guest speaker at 6:05 PM, followed by the walk from 6:15 PM to 6:45 PM. Arrive early, as gathering begins at 5:00 PM, and check-in is by 5:40 PM to ensure you receive your candle. The first 100 walkers will also receive exclusive Stroll Into Light T-shirts, and attendees can participate in a jewelry raffle. Proceeds from the event will support local mental health organizations and provide college scholarships for selected high school seniors. A STROLL INTO LIGHT is the answer to the call we have all been ignoring for the longest time. The mental health epidemic, especially in adolescents, only receives attention when a tragedy has occurred or a life is lost. Stroll into Light is a recognition that each person is fighting their own battle each and every day. Whether that be anxiety, depression, or any mental health related issue, no one person should feel alone in their situation. As a community, we must support each other and advocate for peoples stories to be heard. At this candlelight event, each attendee will receive a candle to reflect and mourn as we walk side by side. Stroll into Light will also have an optional time to reflect, and there will also be an opportunity to receive hope from individuals who themselves have risen from the darkness to walk in the light of life!
Please walk with us on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH AT MOUNT TABOR HIGH SCHOOL TRACK at 6:00 pm to be a part of the Fifth Annual STROLL INTO LIGHT. Gathering will start at 5:00pm. Shining Light on Mental Health: LISTEN! A ministry between Centenary's Youth Ministry & Shining Light on Mental Health that invites teenagers and parents to truly listen to each other in hopes of understanding one another better. (Guest speakers)
