Event summary
Participants can choose between a competitive 5K run or a 5K ruck, with the ruck being a non-competitive option. The ruck weights are recommended to not exceed 40 pounds. The day kicks off with packet pickup at 7:00 AM, followed by a warm welcome at 7:45 AM. The 5K ruck starts at 8:00 AM, and the 5K run begins shortly after at 8:15 AM, culminating in an awards ceremony at 9:15 AM for top finishers in various age groups. Each registration includes a donation to support the mission of Operation True North, an event t-shirt, and chip-timed results, ensuring a memorable experience. The 5K run is competitive, while the ruck is not. We recommend that ruck weights not exceed 40 pounds per rucker. 5K Run age groups for awards shall be 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male & 1st, 2nd, 3rd place female in the youth category (ages 17 and under) and overall (ages 18 and older).
