Kick off summer with energy, community, and hometown pride at the Martinsville Summer Rec Jamboree 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run, and Kids Race. Hosted by MARTINSVILLE ON THE MOVE in partnership with the MARTINSVILLE SUMMER RECREATION BOARD, this event is more than just a raceits a celebration of summer, sports, and community.
Join us as we welcome a new season of SOFTBALL, BASEBALL, AND TEE BALL, while also showcasing new features at the OUTDOOR RECREATION COMPLEX, including the BASKETBALL AND PICKLEBALL COURTS. Whether youre chasing a PR, walking with friends, or cheering on your kids, theres something for everyone at this family-friendly event.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
* 5K RACE: A mostly paved course with approximately 25% on the Woodlands and Martinsville Ridgelawn Biking and Hiking Trail
* 1-MILE FUN RUN: A paved route on local roads for runners and walkers of all ages
* KIDS RACE: A fun lap around the outside of the baseball field
* JAMBOREE ACTIVITIES: Pickleball tournament, team photos, parade, bounce houses, and food trucks
