The race kicks off at 6 PM, starting near the Dogwood Park Amphitheater on N Walnut Ave, where participants will gather in the parking lot near Cigi's and the Exceptional Bean before making their way to the start line together.
The Summer Splash 5K is not just a race; it's an experience filled with fun and community spirit! As you navigate the course, look forward to exciting optional drenching and misting stations to help you cool off. Each participant will be timed, and you can even order a special Summer Splash T-Shirt to commemorate your achievement. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cancer Care Fund at the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation, and runners are encouraged to honor or remember loved ones impacted by cancer. Organiser's Description
Run or Walk this family friendly 5K race raising funds to help cancer patients in the Upper Cumberland. The Summer Splash 5k offers racers opportunities to cool off along the course at optional drenching stations and misting stations. All participants will be timed and have the option to order a Summer Splash T-Shirt.
Proceeds from the Summer Splash 5K will go toward the Cancer Care Fund at Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation and participants are encouraged to run in honor or memory of a loved one impacted by cancer. The race was established in memory of Sarah Alice Bagci, who battled Burkitt's Lymphoma.
The race will begin promptly at 6 pm, beginning near Dogwood Park Amphitheater with the start line on N Walnut Ave. Note, there is construction in the lot between the park and start line. We will be gathering in the parking lot near Cigi's and the Exceptional Bean, and then walking to the start line together just before the race begins.
