Visit Sunset Mountain today and run naked!

The Naked Mile Challenge is a virtual event where you log and track your own naked miles. The objective is to run the fastest 3.1 miles/5k possible at Sunset Mountain. You have all season long to come visit us and run and track your 5k event. You can run and track multiple 5k races and use the fastest one for your official entry in this challenge. You will have to track your event on your own device and send it or show it to us to be considered for prizes at the awards ceremony. This event is slightly different than last year's event so please ask questions if you're unsure about the rules. You can use any trail combination you want and as long as you are walking or running at Sunset Mountain. You can show up any time between the event start date and finish date but all miles logged have to be completed by October 17th at 2pm. Additionally, our Snap Dragon trail will be open on October 17th between 10am and 2pm. If you want to run this trail to log your naked miles this will be the time to do it. The Snap Dragon trail is only open once a year and features access to the highest elevation on our property with unmatched views of the campground and river valley below.

The trails at Sunset Mountain are very rugged and steep. The terrain is mostly loose gravel with massive elevation changes. This challenge is designed for the serious athlete who wishes to get in on some naked miles.
