With a vibrant post-race celebration featuring a beer garden, delicious food, and amazing vendors, it's not just a race—it's a community event celebrating fitness and our beloved canines. Every finisher will receive a custom medal, and awards are given three deep in each age group, ensuring plenty of recognition for all. The 11TH ANNUAL SUP & RUN 5K presented by Charles Schwab or Sarasota event will be held at Nathan Benderson Park to benefit RUCK9 (www.RUCK9.com [http://www.RUCK9.com])
The SUP & RUN 5K gives athletes _THREE GREAT RACES IN ONE TO CHOOSE FROM_.
* 5K RUN
* 5K Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) OR
* 5K SUP & 5K RUN
_(THERE IS A START LINE MAT (CHIP) FOR THE COMBINATION SUP & RUN)_
Athletes participating in the combination SUP & RUN will RUN the 5K first and then hop on their paddle board for a 5K paddle around Nathan Benderson Park. The SUP & RUN 5K draws top runners and SUP'ers who compete for cash prizes but it's our not-so-serious athletes who have the most prominent place in the event.
ATHLETES PARTICIPATING IN THE SUP PORTION OF THE RACE MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO SWIM, YOU MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE SUP PORTION.
THE SUP & RUN 5K IS A FAMILY STYLE EVENT.
WALKERS ARE WELCOME and encouraged to attend.

EVENT DAY INFORMATION ALL RACES BEGIN AT 8AM (SHARP!) There is ample parking at Nathan Benderson Park. For those renting a paddle board, the boards will be available on race morning. Volunteers will direct you to the pick-up location. If you are renting a board, please arrive no later than 7am to secure your board and paddle. PFD's ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE PROVIDED BY THE ATHLETE! Dr. Heidi Anderson, our dermatologist extraordinaire says..."don't forget your sunscreen!" This unique event offers an extraordinarily spectator friendly venue. -
