This exciting event will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the scenic Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool, Onondaga. Kick off the holiday season with a competitive 5K race starting at 10:00 AM, where participants are encouraged to wear their ugliest Christmas sweaters for a chance to win awards for best in dress.
All race entrants will be treated to custom stockings, either Team Santa or Team Grinch, as well as a unique finisher medal. After the race, celebrate your achievement at the post-race awards ceremony and party at Cobblestone in Liverpool, with prizes for overall and age group winners. In the spirit of giving, this year’s event will support Ainsley's Angels of Syracuse, with all donations helping this wonderful cause, along with contributions to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots. Come celebrate the transition from Thanksgiving to the Christmas season with a fun but competitive Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K. The 11th Annual Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K will once again be held at Onondaga Lake Park under the Lights on the Lake. All race participants will receive a custom stocking (Team Santa or Team Grinch) and custom finisher medal.
Post race awards ceremony and party will be at the Cobblestone in Liverpool. There will be awards for the Overall and Age Group winners as well as prizes for best in dress.
