Organiser's Description
Come celebrate the transition from Thanksgiving to the Christmas season with a fun but competitive Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K run at Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool, NY. This year the giveaway items will include a custom beanie and gloves, jingle bells and finisher medal. Post race awards ceremony and party will be at the Barking Gull and the Cobblestone. The Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K is part of the Dick’s Sporting Goods Family Fit Series. There will be awards for the Overall and Age Group winners as well as prizes for best in dress contest.
A portion of the proceeds and all donations will go to the St. Johns Community Services. Please bring winter clothing donations to the race. There will be a truck on location accepting items. They are especially seeking winter items, e.g. coats, boots, (sneakers as well) hats, mittens, socks and toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, etc.)
