Join the festive fun at the 10th Annual Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Liverpool, Onondaga! Kicking off at 10:00 AM at the beautiful Onondaga Lake Park, this spirited event offers a delightful way to transition from Thanksgiving to the Christmas season. Runners of all levels are invited to don their most creative ugly sweaters and enjoy a scenic 5K race under the enchanting Lights on the Lake.
Participants will not only have a chance to earn a custom long sleeve shirt, a unique winter headband (choose between Team Santa or Team Grinch), and a custom finisher medal, but they can also opt for a No Shirt/Headband option this year. After crossing the finish line, join the post-race awards ceremony at the Cobblestone in Liverpool, where prizes will be awarded for overall and age group winners, as well as for the best-dressed participants. Plus, help support a worthy cause by bringing lightly used winter clothing donations for the Syracuse Rescue Mission. Let’s make this holiday season brighter together!

Come celebrate the transition from Thanksgiving to the Christmas season with a fun but competitive Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K. The 10th Annual Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K will once again be held at Onondaga Lake Park under the Lights on the Lake. All race participants will have the option of receiving a custom Ugly Sweater 5k long sleeve shirt, a unique winter headband (Team Santa or Team Grinch) and custom finisher medal. New for 2024 is a No Shirt/Headband option. All participants will receive a finisher medal.
Post race awards ceremony and party will be at the Cobblestone in Liverpool. There will be awards for the Overall and Age Group winners as well as prizes for best in dress.
All donations, both financial and in-kind will go to the Syracuse Rescue Mission this year. Please bring lightly used winter clothing donations to the race. There will be a truck on location accepting items. They are especially seeking winter items ie. coats, boots, (sneakers as well) hats, mittens, socks and toiletries (tooth paste, tooth brushes, combs, etc.)
Pre-event Packet Pickup (PPU) TBD, more details to come! Race Day PPU will be held at the Salt Museum @ 106 Lake Dr., Liverpool, NY 13088 starting at 8:30am. Race starts at 10:00am
