Take the 4 x 4 x 48 Operation Uniquecorn Charity Challenge

The 4x4x48 challenge involves running 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours.
That’s 4 miles, 12 times. Over a 48 hour period.
So 48 miles in total (or 77 kilometers).
10-20 runners will stay together on site at Cors arena. Make camp there and run together.  
The goal is to have each runner fundraise $2000!!!!  Once runners have signed up, a welcome email will be sent out with a link to your own fundraising page for Operation Uniquecorn through Givebutter.  
 
Endurance Athletes:  
All endurance athletes will stay together at Cors Arena located at 743 E. Douglas Ave in Jacksonville, Illinois which features triple bunks and a master bedroom. There is on site laundry, jacuzzi tub, shower, and full kitchen.  Each athlete will also have an area to make “camp” within the full court basketball facility for friends, family, and support crew.    Check out www.corsarena.com to check out the facilities.   Athletes will run together at allotted times starting on April 18th at 4:00pm and every 4 hours after until April 20th at 12:00 pm.  
 
The schedule will be as follows April 18th:  4pm, 8 pm,  April 19th: 12 am, 4 am, 8 am, 12 pm, 4pm, 8pm April 20th: 12 am, 4 am 8 am, 12 pm 
 
Runners will leave Cors Arena at start times together following the same out and back course west toward Illinois School for the Deaf and back.  This is a fairly flat run with very mild inclines.   All runners are encouraged to bring coolers of any special snacks, food, nutrition they may need. A large refrigerator is available to share on site.   Dinner will be provided 4/18 and 4/19.  Lunch will be provided 4/20 after the race. 
 
Each Runner will receive an Avanto Pro Chest Light, a  sweatshirt, a beer pint,  2 Dinners and 1 lunch, as well as 2 drink tickets for the post race celebration.    Support Runners:
Not sure if you are able to run 48 miles? Instead, sign up to be a support runner and run any time throughout the race.  Sign up to help a fellow 4x4x48 endurance runner during some of the tough times or whenever you think they might need it.  Running times listed below.

Support runners will receive a T-shirt and a light up band bracelet.  
 
All Participants are encouraged to join and celebrate the amazing feat at Don’s Place at 207 W. Morgan Place for a post-race celebration starting at 3:00 pm.
