The final leg is a 2.5k trail run that brings you back to the Park Office for a triumphant finish!
For younger athletes, there’s a Youth event featuring a 1-mile trail run, a 3-mile mountain bike ride, and concluding with another 1-mile run. Transition and packet pick-up will open at 8 am, closing at 9:45 am, with the main race starting at 10:00 am and the Youth Race at 12:30 pm. Don't worry if you don't have a mountain or gravel bike; local shops like Sunrift Adventures and The Speed

Organiser's Description
Whether youre an experienced mountain biker or new to the sport, weve got a race you will find enjoyable and challenging. Many are familiar with triathlons competed on paved roads; however, fewer athletes have challenged themselves with an off-road duathlon.
The transition area will be set up in the grassy field near the main park office. Youll start and finish each leg of the duathlon from here.
The first leg will be a 5k trail run that will wind through the trails going to the boat ramp. The trails are wide single track and should be a pleasant trail run. Youll circle back to the transition area and get your bike for the second leg.
The bike leg will enter the trail system from the beach to the left/east of the main office. Your ride will take you along the water's edge and through the woods over towards the camping area and Persimmon Beach. Youll do several loops in the woods before returning to the transition area for the third and final leg of the race.
The third leg will be a 2.5k trail that will wind through the trails going towards the boat ramp. Youll finish near the Park Office.
The trails at Sadlers Creek are mostly wide single track and you may compete with either a mountain bike or a gravel bike. There are several whoop-whoops that will be thrilling on a gravel bike yet still "du-able". We hope to see you there.
The cost of this event includes the admission price into the park for the athlete.

CLOSEDThis a youth friendly event. Starting with a 1-mile trail run. 3-mile trail bike ride, ending with a 1-mile trail run. For the Youth event contact the race director to receive a one-year USA Triathlon membership. You will need the code in order to finish registration. Please note that youth must be age 6 by December 31 to participate. Additionally, we are waiving a USAT rule and allowing parent/guardian to accompany the youth on the BIKE LEG for youth between 6 and 9 YO. The parent/guardian cannot assist or carry or otherwise aide the child with completing the BIKE LEG. -
