Get ready for a fantastic day of fun and fitness at the Tampa Electric's Run for the Manatees, happening on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the beautiful Apollo Beach, Hillsborough. This exciting in-person 5K event is already sold out, showcasing the strong community support for manatee conservation. Participants will have the unique opportunity to run past the Manatee Viewing Center and through the stunning trails of the Florida Conservation & Technology Center (FCTC).
Join fellow "fan-atees" as you contribute to a worthy cause, raising awareness and funds for the manatee research program through the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The race day will kick off with bib pick-up at 6:30 AM, followed by pre-race announcements at 7:40 AM and the 5K start at 8:00 AM. Don't miss your chance to be part of this memorable event and support the gentle giants of the sea!

Tampa Electric's 3rd Annual Run for the Manatees 5K will pass by the Manatee Viewing Center, the cornerstone of Tampa Electric's Florida Conservation & Technology Center (FCTC), and wind through the gorgeous trails on the FCTC campus. Best of all, the unique run will raise awareness and support for Tampa Electrics manatee conservation efforts by supporting the manatee research program within the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Virtual participants will not be part of the in-person event on Jan. 18, 2025. An event shirt and finisher medal will be mailed to US based addresses the week of Jan. 20, 2025. Virtual participants can choose the day, time, course, etc. to complete the 3.1 mile distance. Results are not calculated in results for chip timed participants; therefore you do not need to submit anything to us! We appreciate your support of our conservation efforts!
