TexasRoots takes place during the October 10th weekend, a time when many communities recognize Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples Day on the second Monday of October each year..
TexasRoots is an additional opportunity 1. To honor our RGV culture (where we come from);
2. To embrace our Texas identity (who we are today); and
3. To run, walk, and gather as one community (to put into motion the shared traditions and values that shape our lives in South Texas).
Across the finish line?
You will earn your very own collectible finisher medal celebrating our "Texas Roots".

Pre-race Warm Up will start promptly at 6:45 am (Led by Vibrainium Fitness Team)
Post-race Cool Down between 7:45-8:00 am, as soon 15 participants are ready to start (Led by Vibrainium Fitness Team).
Chip Timing & Live Results (5K & 10K).
Premium Event Shirt & Bib. Our T-Shirt sports a logo to celebrate Culture & Texas Identity (as part of the nations weekend celebrations of Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day).
Shirt Deadline: September 17th
After this date, shirts will be available first come, first served at packet pickup. No sizes are guaranteed.
