This spirited event kicks off at 10:00 AM at Southmoor Park, where participants will enjoy a scenic two-lap route totaling approximately 1.2 miles. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to have some fun with family and friends, everyone is welcome to run or walk.
In addition to the excitement of the race, participants can look forward to complimentary t-shirts for kids, refreshments, and awards for top finishers in various age divisions. While the race is free, a suggested donation of $20 per family is appreciated to help cover costs and support the worthy charity, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Sandwich Line, dedicated to helping the less fortunate. We encourage you to bring non-perishable food items and warm clothing for donation as well. Get ready for a joyful Thanksgiving celebration that promotes community spirit and supports those in need!

Please join us for our Thanksgiving Day 3rd Annual Southmoor Park Fun Run! We will have t-shirts (for the kids), refreshments and fun.
TIME: 10:00 AM
PLACE: Southmoor Park (entrance off Oneida and Peach)
ROUTE: Two laps around the park (~1.2 miles)
CHARITY: ST. ELIZABETH OF HUNGARY SANDWICH LINE [https://www.stelizabethdenver.org]. St Elizabeth's church is located downtown and has been operating since 1878. It has a long history of caring for the poor and hungry through its sandwich line. It opens at 11 am daily with soup, sandwich and dessert. It feeds, clothes and nurtures the men and women who come to their door.
REGISTRATION: Adults do not need to register, just kids. But everyone is welcome to run/walk! We encourage you to register your kids so that we know how many T-shirts to order in advance.
ENTRY FEE: While the race is free, there is a suggested donation of $20.00 per family. This helps offset the cost of tshirts, food and awards that aren't covered by our sponsors. If there is a balance at the end, we donate it to this year's charity. Additionally, please bring an item to donate to this year's charity.
ITEMS TO DONATE: Food: canned goods Clothing: coats, gloves, hats, blankets, socks, sleeping bags and sundries to provide
warmth and hygiene for both adults and children
AWARDS: We will have awards for top male and female in three divisions: high school (9-12), middle school (6-8) and elementary school (k-5). We will also have medals for all children. Don't feel like running? Walkers welcome! We want to keep this fun for all involved.
