Lace up your sneakers and get training! The YMCA 5K Run and Fun Walk is just around the corner. This exciting day is full of activities all to support recovery and reconnection for cancer survivors through LIVESTRONG at the YMCA.
With this funding, cancer survivors may participate in the LIVESTRONG program at no cost to them.
CREATE A TEAM TODAY.
We are looking for team leaders to invite friends and loved ones to join them in raising funds for cancer survivors. Team members can walk or run with you on the day of the event or make a donation to support your goal. Team prizes will be awarded to top fundraising team, largest team and more!
_The YMCA 5K Run and Fun Walk is held in memory of Janice Garbolino, former Health & Wellness Director of the Metuchen Branch YMCA, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2002. The annual 5K run/walk supports the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge, and South Amboy in providing a free exercise program for cancer survivors called LIVESTRONG at the YMCA which assists those who are living with, through, or beyond cancer to strengthen their bodies, minds, and spirits. _
