As the sun sets, the Lake Walk Pavilion will come alive with holiday cheer, complete with festive tunes, delicious food trucks, and hot chocolate to warm your spirits. Enjoy festive games and selfie stations that promise plenty of fun for everyone. Each participant will receive a finisher medal, and those taking on the 5K or 10K will also earn an official race t-shirt and sponsor swag. Don’t forget to come dressed in your best holiday attire—costumes and holiday spirit are highly encouraged! With professional chip-timing for the 5K and 10K, awards for the top finishers, and a post-race celebration, the Active Texan Tinsel Trot is a fantastic way to close out the year while embracing the joy

Timing: Professionally chip-timed races for the 5K and 10K

Awards for Top 3 Overall Male & Female Finishers in both 5K and 10K divisions.
A Few Tips
Headlamps are recommended for 10K runners, as portions of the course will be after dark.
The route is well-lit by streetlights, and well keep things merry and bright with glow sticks and bracelets for all participants.
COSTUMES AND HOLIDAY SPIRIT ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!

Each participant will receive a finisher medal. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall male and female. Some participants will finish the race in the dark. We will have glow sticks for participants to wear as well as glow sticks on the race course. -
10K Run
Incl. $4.00 Fee & T-Shirt
Sat 20th December 2025 (5:00PM CST)

Each participant will receive a finisher medal. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall male and female. All 10k participants must have a headlamp or some sort of light with them at the start of the race as it will be dark when they finish. We will also have glow sticks for participants to wear as well as glow sticks on the race course. It will be dark at the finish, however the course is well lit for a majority of it by the street lights. -
1 Mile Fun Run
Incl. $1.90 Fee

There will be no t-shirt provided however finisher medals will be given to all fun run finishers. Glow sticks will be available for participants to wear on course, however the fun run will be finished before it gets dark.

Very fun race! Got a shirt and a medal. They had food and drinks there too which is nice. And lots of pretty lights and decorations for Christmas.
