This event celebrates Global Running Day, inviting runners and walkers of all levels to join in the fun. Participants can choose between a vibrant in-person 5K race at SRP Park at 6 PM or opt for a virtual 5K course from anywhere. No matter how you participate, you’ll have the chance to upload and share your results, making this a truly inclusive celebration.
This year, The Big Run is proud to partner with The RECing Crew, supporting their mission to provide recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities. All donated proceeds will directly benefit this wonderful organization, which has been enhancing the lives of over 200 participants since 2002. Plus, every participant in the 5K and 1-Mile Kids Run will receive exciting race swag, including a finisher medal, fun bib number, race t-shirt, and a General Admission ticket to that evening's Augusta GreenJackets game, complete with a complimentary beverage! Join us for a fantastic day of camaraderie and celebration while making a difference in the community!

GLOBAL RUNNING DAY IS OUR HOLIDAY; A CELEBRATION OF THE ACTIVITY WE LOVE AND THE SPORT THAT BRINGS OUR COMMUNITY TOGETHER. WERE INVITING ALL RUNNERS AND WALKERS TO JOIN US ON JUNE 4 TO MARK THE OCCASION, SET A GOAL AND CROSS THE FINISH LINE.
This years event will include an in-person race and virtual features that provide all participants with flexible raceday options. This means you have two ways to celebrate with us:
* Join us for an in-person 5K race on June 5th at 6pm at SRP Park
* Run your own 5K course from any location
Either way, youll have the ability to upload and view your results after your run!

The RECing Crew Special Leisure and Recreation Association was established in 2002 by the families and friends of those with disabilities to offer leisure and recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities from the CSRA. These programs enhance the physical, emotional, and social growth of those that participate. Currently, there are 200+ individuals, ranging in the ages from 6-88, that participate in one or more of their programs.

OPENS SOONOn June 4, Fleet Feet Augusta, in partnership with Brooks, will hold a certified 5K race. All participants will receive, a finishers medal, t-shirt, 1 free ticket to the GreenJackets baseball game (ticket is general admission), and of course a little more! The 5K will be chipped time. Dogs, Strollers, Wheelchairs, and Pets are Welcome. On-line registration will close at 11:59PM on June 2nd. Packet Pick-Up: * Tuesday, June 3, 2025 @ Fleet Feet North Augusta (210 Georgia Ave. North Augusta, SC 29841) from 11:00AM - 6:00PM. Participants CAN register at packet pickup. * Wednesday, June 4, 2025 @ SRP Park from 4:00PM - 5:00PM. This is for packet pickup only, there will be NO race day registration. -
1 Mile Kids Fun Run

OPENS SOONBring your kids out for a Fun Family Event. Kids age 3 -13 will run an out-and-back route on the race course to complete a 1-Mile Fun Run. Each Participant will receive a shirt, medal, and of course a little surprise! The 1 mile will be timed. On-line registration will close at 11:59PM on June 2nd. OPENS SOONAre you unable to run the BIG RUN 5K in-person this year? No worries, we have you covered. Complete the distance between 6/1 - 6/5. You can submit your results on Runsignup or by e-mailing [email protected]. All virtual participants will receive a medal, visor, and virtual bib that can be picked up at Packet Pickup on Tuesday, June 3rd from 11am-6pm at Fleet Feet North Augusta (210 Georgia Ave. North Augusta, SC 29841), or have it shipped to them.
