Join us for an unforgettable day at The Grove MGM 5K Fun Run/Walk and Open House on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the heart of Montgomery! This exciting event kicks off at 8 AM, with participants encouraged to arrive by 7:30 AM for packet pickup. The 5K course takes you through the historic streets of downtown Montgomery, allowing you to soak in the sights, including the Alabama State Capitol, the Rosa Parks Museum, and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice.
Not only will you enjoy a fun and invigorating run or walk, but your participation also supports a meaningful cause. The Grove MGM is dedicated to helping young women transition out of the foster care system by providing dignified housing and support. After the race, relax in the Grove's outdoor gathering area, enjoy coffee and snacks, and take a tour of the newly renovated facility. Bring your family and friends for a day filled with community spirit and make a difference in the lives of those in need. Plus, every participant will receive a special token of appreciation, and the top three finishers in various age categories will be recognized! Don’t miss out on this fantastic event that combines fitness, fun, and philanthropy!

PLEASE NOTE:
1) PACKET PICKUP: We will only have race bib and shirt pickup on race day. Please arrive by 7:30 AM at the latest to pick up your bib.
2) PARKING: The Grove MGM has been given special permission to use River Paws Pet Resort's parking for our event. Please see the map on this site and follow the signature the morning of the race to locate the lots.
Join us to welcome The Grove MGM to the Montgomery community! The Grove supports young women transitioning out of Foster Care in Alabama.
They provide dignified, affordable housing and support to bridge the gap between the foster care system and independence. Your participation and/or donation contributes to the final phase of renovation of the building and goes towards sponsoring the future young women who will call The Grove their home. On Saturday, 26 April 2025 we will have a fun run/walk starting and ending at The Grove MGM at 559 S Hull. The 5K will begin at 8AM, but please arrive by 730AM to get pumped up for the fun!! The run/walk will take runners and walkers through the historic streets of downtown Montgomery. Along the course, you will see the Alabama State Capitol building, the Rosa Parks Bus Stop and Court Square Fountain, the Rosa Parks Museum and the Davis Theater, The National Memorial for Peace and Justice, and The Mothers of Gynecology Park.
After completing the 5K, stay and fellowship with other members of your community in the Grove's lovely outdoor gathering area, and take a tour of the newly renovated, beautifully-designed future home of young women who have aged out of the foster care program in our community.
We will have coffee, snacks, and a food truck. Bring the family for this meaningful day of restoration.
All participants can take home with them a special token of appreciation saying "I ran for the Grove"!
The first 3 finishers of the following categories will receive special recognition:
Children aged 0-14 Male and Female
Adults aged 15-99 Male and Female
