Seton Catholic School will host the Knights Joust Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the U.S. Oval in Plattsburgh, bringing runners, families and community members together to raise funds for Seton Catholic School and The Foundation of CVPHs Kids Closet.
The event will feature a one-mile walk/run beginning at 8:45 a.m., followed by a 5K race at 9 a.m. Registration is $15 for the one-mile and $25 for the 5K. Participants may register in advance or on the day of the event, with proceeds benefiting both Seton Catholic School and the Kids Closet at CVPH.
The Knights Joust Fun Run brings the two organizations together around a shared commitment to the North Country community. Funds raised for Seton Catholic will support the school and its students. The Foundation of CVPHs portion of the proceeds will support its Kids Closet, which provides new comfort and activity items for children in the Emergency Department, including young patients, visitors and children visiting a loved one. The closet is stocked with sensory and fidget items, stuffed animals, games, drawing supplies and other items that CVPH staff can access around the clock to help comfort children during their time at the hospital.
The Knights Joust Fun Run gives people a simple way to support children and families in our community, said Jeremy Eppler, Senior Director for Strategic Growth. The funds raised will support our students at Seton Catholic while also helping keep the Kids Closet stocked with items that can provide some comfort and distraction for children during what may be a difficult or stressful visit to the hospital.
