Get ready for an exciting winter challenge at The Mammoth ICE AGE 5K Run, Walk, Pull or Stroll on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in the picturesque town of Granbury, Texas! This lively event invites participants of all skill levels to traverse the scenic OUT and BACK course along the paved Hike and Bike Trail, starting and finishing at Hewlett Park. Join fellow runners and walkers in the heart of what is known as the BEST Historic Small Town in America as you soak in the winter wonderland atmosphere.
As part of the kickoff for the Winter-Guest Tourism Season, you'll also have the opportunity to experience Granbury's annual Winter Event, THE GOOSEBUMP JUMP, just across the street at City Beach Park, where a thrilling jump into the chilly waters of Lake Granbury awaits! With awards for the top three overall male and female finishers and chip timing for participants aged 13 and above, this event promises an unforgettable day of fun, community spirit, and celebration. Don’t miss out on this unique winter experience in the Celebration Capital of Texas!

After your epic finish, you will want to hop on over just across the street to CITY BEACH PARK to continue the Winter-Guest Celebration in the CELEBRATION CAPITAL OF TEXAS - where there will be a 100% chance of SNOW!
Visit Granbury The City of Granbury Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), is challenging the community, civic organizations, charitable organizations, and brave individuals to help kick off the Winter-Guest Tourism Season by jumping into the frigid waters of Lake Granbury Saturday, January 17th at City Beach Park.
The Mammoth ICE AGE 5K City Run is an OUT and BACK course that will begin and end at Hewlett Park, utilizing the PAVED Hike and Bike Trail system.
* AWARDS - 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Male and Female OVERALL. NO age group awarding.
* Chip Timed Event for participants 13y and Above
* PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. USATF sanctioned event policy does not allow for animals to participate in the event.
