We are kicking off Sunday morning at Maryland Seafood Festival in a BIG way.

Introducing The Peake Run: The Big Ducking 10K to Celebrate 60 Years.

Join us September 13th for a one-of-a-kind race experience along the Chesapeake Bay, featuring the Worlds Largest Rubber Duck and celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Maryland Seafood Festival.

The coolest part- your finish line will be on the sands* of the Chesapeake Bay with Mama Duck, who stands 60 feet tall and 70 feet long! *99% of the run is on paved paths and a small segment on packed dirt. Only the start/finish is on or near sand.

10K (6 miles): Our featured race for 60 years
5K: Fast, scenic, and perfect for all levels
1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: Family-friendly and open to all

COURSE:

The course starts and ends at East Beach, where you'll get to enjoy views of the iconic Chesapeake Bay Bridge. This down-and-out course goes along the brand-new Broadneck Peninsula Trail.

**All races take place before the festival opens, giving you the perfect transition from finish line to Maryland seafood, drinks, and live music. All racers will be able to hang out and stay as long as they want for the Seafood Festival.

Start Times*:

10K: 8:00 AM

5K: 9:00 AM

1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: 9:45 AM

*Start times may be adjusted slightly based on number of participants, weather, or other factors to ensure a great race!
Cut-off times: all racers must be finished by 10:30 AM. This is approximately a 29-minute-per-mile pace.

PARKING
Parking is managed by the State of Maryland at Sandy Point State Park.

Update on parking! We were able to secure $12 per vehicle (available as an add-on during registration). This has been added to the site.

SPECTATORS
Friends and family are encouraged to come out and cheer!
Please note: Spectators must purchase a Maryland Seafood Festival ticket for entry. Entry is only discounted to only $5 where normal entry fees for the Maryland Seafood Festival is $15 to $20 for regular attendees.

POST-RACE ACTIVITIES
After you cross the finish line, stick around and enjoy the Maryland Seafood Festival, featuring:

Local seafood vendors
Live music
Craft beverages
Waterfront views of the Chesapeake Bay

PACKET PICK-UP
Bib, shirt, and race materials will be distributed during the week of the race. Packet pickup the morning of the race will not be offered unless you email HQ@thepeakeevents.com to confirm.

Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm, we will be at Red Eyes Dock Bar in Grasonville for bib pickup!

Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm, we will have bib pickup in Annapolis! Location to be announced and sent out shortly.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY TO ALLOW TIME FOR CHECK-IN AND STAGING! THE WALK FROM YOUR CAR TO THE RACE IS ROUGHLY 1/2 MILE! GETTING INTO THE PARK CAN TAKE 15 TO 20 MINUTES FOR PEOPLE TO SHOW THEIR PARKING PASS AND FOR THE FRONT GATE TO LET CARS IN.

GIVING BACK
A portion of the proceeds will benefit local non-profits dedicated to protecting the Chesapeake Bay and preserving our way of life on the water.

SWAG AND GIVEAWAYS
All participants will receive a finisher medal and event shirt.
Additional giveaways and partner activations will be announced.


WHAT TO BRING
Water, running gear, and anything you need for race day.
We recommend arriving ready to run and prepared for waterfront conditions.

This event is expected to sell out, and once capacity is reached, registration will close.
