This exciting event features two thrilling races: the competitive OC Challenge Wild Hare 5k, kicking off at 8:00 AM, complete with age division awards and trophies for the top three overall finishers, and the whimsical Rabbit Run 5k, starting at 9:00 AM, where every finisher receives a medal and a chance to collect Easter eggs along the route.
Families can also enjoy the Bunny Dash, a special kids' race filled with fun and prizes, including Easter-themed goodies. With a picturesque out-and-back course shared with cyclists and dog walkers, this event promises a fantastic atmosphere for runners of all ages. * 8:00 AM : The OC CHALLENGE WILD HARE 5K : Competitive race with age division awards and top three overall trophies
* 8:35 am Top 3 Overall Awards
* 8:40 am Awards Ceremony for the Wild Hare
* 8:55 am THE BUNNY DASH kid's race (200 yards- 5& under, 400 yards- 6 to 7, 1/2 mile- 8 and above. Finisher medal, plus Easter egg bag and bunny at finish. Top boy/girl in each heat get a mini trophy. (parents can run with kids)
* 9:00 AM THE RABBIT RUN 5k All finishers get medals. Spring Goodie bags while they last. And chance to find 4 eggs each on the course. only take 2 at the two stations and left the rest for the rest of the runners/walkers.
* IT'S AN EGGCELLENT RUN. DO BOTH 5KS. GET TWO BIBS AND TWO FINISHER MEDALS. ONE SHIRT
Chip timed by ITZ ABOUT TIME. If doing both. Wear only the one bib each time you run and receive a different medal each run.
HERE's how the two 5ks work. The OC CHALLENGE WILD HARE is a timed race with age division stats and awards. The Rabbit Run 5k is a fun run full of Easter surprises. Only top 3 overall awards for this race. But each participant is allowed to pick up 4 easter eggs on the course and get a stuffed bunny at the finish, while supplies last.
SO...EASTER-THEMED GOODIE BAGS AND BLING AT THE FINISH OF THE RABBIT RUN! AGE DIVISION AWARDS FOR THE OC CHALLENGE WILD HARE 5K. AWESOME SOFT, FULLY DESIGNED CUSTOM SHIRTS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. AND A FINISHER MEDAL THAT CELEBRATES SPRINGING INTO EASTER AT THE FINISH! TWO DIFFERENT RIBBONS FOR EACH RACE. COME TAKE SELFIE PICTURES WITH THE EASTER BUNNY!
BIB PICK IS RACE DAY ONLY . THERE IS NO EARLY PACKET PICK UP FOR THIS RACE .
Participants can pick up the day of event. Registration will open at 6:30 am on race morning and continue until the 9am race start at Jeffrey Trails Middle School.
COURSE: It is out and back with a twist on a picturesque, landscaped running path. You will be sharing the route with cyclists, other runners, and dog walkers. If pushing a stroller, stay to the right. . Special appearance of the Easter bunny for great selfie photos!! Run fast, or enjoy this event with friends & family! Make your Easter have a healthy kick to it!
PARKING: AT 155 VISIONS JEFFREY TRAIL MIDDLE SCHOOL
AND , WHAT BETTER TO SPRING INTO SPRING, THAN TO RUN A SPRING RACE WITH FLOWER NAMES FOR STREET NAMES!
RESTROOMS will be located inside the school buildings to the SOUTH and NORTH of the expo area. Follow the signs.
PROCEEDS from this event to benefit Ware in the World, as Caren RUNs into needs running around the world. Proceeds will be going to Miss Pam's Ranch locally, a working ranch that teaches troubled youth to ride, do chores, build esteem, and set goals. Miss Pam RUNS her ranch from a wheelchair. We are still trying to raise funds to repair the travel chair we gifted her last year. Plus, many other projects. We are earning money to put on a Ware in The World 5k in Tanzania, Africa to inspire a village of youth to aspire in running. Anyone wanting to RUN KILIMANJARO MARATHON or HALF, climb the mountain, and go on a SAFARI , join us last week of Feb/1st week of March 2027. Or , trek with Caren to the Himalayas and Everest Marathon eacdh year mid May to June 1.
