The main event will take place on Sunday, May 11th, with races starting at the stunning Redwood Regional Park. Participants can choose from three exciting distances: the challenging Half Marathon at 9:15 AM, the adventurous 10K at 9:30 AM, and the fun-filled 5K at 9:45 AM.

The Sasquatch Scramble 5K/10K/Half RETURNS on Sun, 5/11/25 on the trails of Redwood Regional Park in Oakland!
WHERE: Chabot Space & Science Center [https://chabotspace.org/], 10000 Skyline Blvd, Oakland, CA. 94619
WHEN: Sun, 5/11. HALF MARATHON-9:15AM, 10K-9:30AM, 5K-9:45AM

COURSE DETAILS-The 5K is trail with 'some' technical terrain. The first mile (approx) is a gradual downhill. The remainder of the course is a gradual uphill. Overall, the 5K course includes nearly 700 feet of ascent.
The 10K is trail with technical terrain throughout. The course is a gradual downhill for the first mile followed by a steep ascent from mile 1-1.35. The next mile is a gradual descent. There is a stout climb from mile 2.5-3.75 followed by a gradual descent from 3.75 to 5.25. The remainder of the course is a gradual uphill to the finish line. Overall, the 10K course includes 1,600 feet of ascent/descent.
The half marathon is trail with technical terrain throughout. The first 3 miles (approx) are a gradual downhill. Mile 3-3.5 (approx) is a solid ascent. This is followed by a 1/4 mile descent. Mile 3.75-4.5 is a challenging and technical ascent. Mile 4.5 to 8.25 is a gradual descent. Mile 8.25 to 8.75 is a challenging ascent. The remainder of the course is a gradual uphill. Overall, the half marathon course includes 2,100 feet of ascent.
*NOTE-The half marathon is a STOUT challenge. We would NOT recommend the half marathon if you've never covered this distance before and/or you are not doing any kind of trail running currently.

SUITE 2D) IN OAKLAND.
You can claim your shirt/bib at Renew PT in Oakland [https://ptrenew.com/location/oakland/] located at 460 Boulevard Way, Suite D on SATURDAY, 5/10 between 12-4PM.
A friend can pick up your bib for you provided they furnish a copy of your ID. If you (or a friend) cannot make the pre-race bib & shirt pickup, you can pickup your bib/shirt at the race start/finish area between 7:30-9AM ON RACE MORNING.
PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT SUPPORT REFUNDS, TRANSFERS, AND/OR CREDITS.
In the event of race cancellation due to wildfires, hazardous air quality, hazardous weather conditions, natural disasters, COVID and/or other global pandemics, or any 'act of God' (force majeure) that is beyond our control, we cannot support refunds, transfers, and/or credits. Please note this has only happened ONCE due to COVID in 2020, but anything is possible. Please make sure you are comfortable with these potential risks before you sign up.
In the event of race cancellation due to any of the aforementioned, we will ship all race swag/items to participants and provide direction around navigating the course(s) on your own. We'll also provide direction around submitting your result.
We also cannot support refunds, transfers, and/or race credits if you get injured in the days/week(s) leading up to race day, if your schedule changes in the days/week(s) leading up to race day, if a work trip comes up that makes it impossible for you to attend on race day, and/or any other professional or personal matter that arises making it difficult for you to attend in person on race day.
