Beautiful Bland County is known as the Land Between the Tunnels and one of the most supportive communities you'll ever know. But if all you know of Bland County is the interstate between Big Walker Tunnel and East River Tunnel, you're missing out!
So take The Scenic Route with us and participate in our community challenge to eliminate hunger and food waste!
This virtual challenge can be completed from anywhere, whether you log your miles on a treadmill, around your block, or you want to go big and walk our namesake route- the 28 mile stretch of Scenic Highway 52 from the top of East River Lookout to the top of Big Walker Lookout.
Simply register for the challenge and log your miles throughout the month of October. Your participation will support our campaign to expand cold food storage in Bland Ministry Center's warehouse. From there, more than 800 food boxes are distributed monthly to households from across Southwest Virginia and Southern West Virginia.
