Join us bright and early as the Fun Run kicks off at 7:30 am, followed by the 5K at 7:45 am. Participants will have the unique opportunity to explore the historic grounds of Querbes Park, a cherished local treasure since 1924. The predominantly flat and easy course winds through the park’s lush fairways and under its majestic oak trees, creating an unforgettable experience for runners and walkers alike. Plus, you can enjoy door prizes, breakfast treats, and refreshing beverages, including soft drinks, water, and beer! All participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, a finisher's medal, and a special gift at the Finish Line. Join us for this once-in-a-century event and support the Querbes Park Foundation as we work together to preserve and enhance this beloved community gem!

Join us for the inaugural Squirrel Scramble 5K and Fun Run on Flag Day, June 14, 2025!
The Querbes Park Foundation, in partnership with Shreveport Parks and Recreation, invites you to run or walk the iconic grounds and fairways of Querbes Park. This is a once-in-a-century opportunity to explore one of Shreveport's gems. Run or walk beneath the pristine oak trees and along the lush grounds that have been a local favorite since 1924. In over a century of Querbes' history, this chance to run or walk in the park has never been offered before. Walkers and strollers are warmly encouraged to join us!
Door Prizes * Breakfast* Squirrel Bait. Plus, Soft Drinks, Water and Beer will be served.
Proceeds from the race will benefit the Querbes Park Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the park, as well as the surrounding streets and neighborhoods.
