With heats starting at 8:30 AM and running every 45 minutes, participants can enjoy a well-organized and timed experience. Plus, teams of 6 to 12 members can take advantage of a $10 discount per athlete, and teams with 12 or more can save $15 each! Welcome to the 1st annual Tiger Tri Indoor triathlon put on by the University of Missouri (Mizzou) triathlon club! This race will be hosted on Sunday, March 10th at the Mizzou Rec 1000 Rollins St, Columbia, MO 65203. We are also offering a group discount for teams where teams with 6-12 people will receive 10$ off per athlete and teams of 12+ get a 15$ discount per athlete!
Race distances:
500 yard pool swim (50 meter pool)
10 mile bike (stationary bikes)
5k run on our outdoor track.
General Info:
Doors to the Mizzou Rec will open at 8am for athletes to check in. Heats will start at 8:30am and go every 45 minutes. There is no set time that you must show up by, but there will be a required meeting 15 minutes before each swim start on the pool deck so plan accordingly with your heat time. All athletes must be present for their heats meeting. Heat assignments will go out a few days before the race. Lockers and space for athletes backpacks will be provided. After each leg there will be ~10 mins gaps before the next leg starts in order to provide athletes time to change clothes. Athletes will be allowed to clip into spin bikes with SPD (mountain bike) clips if they choose. SPD-SL clips will not work with our spin bikes. There will be awards given out for top gender finishers.
