community spirit, scenic beauty, and a meaningful purpose! This family-friendly 5K invites
runners, walkers, and supporters of all ages to take part in a picturesque course winding
through the stunning Rose Hill Plantation in Bluffton, SC. Whether youre sprinting toward the
finish line or strolling amidst the Lowcountrys natural beauty, your participation helps raise
awareness and funds for Parkinsons Disease. Lace up, bring your loved ones, and be part of a

The Lowcountry Tulip Trot 5K & Walk for Parkinsons Disease is a heartfelt event inspired by the
life and legacy of Leslie W. Matthews, whose enduring spirit, generosity, and commitment
to service left a lasting impact on all who knew him. After Les passed away on March 9, 2024, at
the age of 77, his familywife Lynn, sons Joshua and Adam, and their familiesset out to
honor his memory by raising awareness and funds for Parkinsons Disease, a cause close to
their hearts.
