This exciting event invites participants to run, jog, or waddle along a scenic 5 km or 1.0-mile course set in the stunning Racho Reata Canyon trail system. After completing the race, participants can meet the adorable animals they are helping and enjoy a sanctuary tour starting at 10:15 am. Celebrate your achievement with a unique finisher gift for the top 3 male and female finishers in the 5k and the first-place finisher in the 1.0 miles. Plus, every registered participant will receive a beautifully etched glass mason jar featuring one of the sanctuary's beloved residents—Freddie in 2023 and Sally Sue in 2024. Join us for a day filled with fun, fitness, and a chance to make a difference in the lives of these incredible animals!

Organiser's Description
Run, jog, or waddle this 5 km or 1.0 mi course in the beautiful Racho Reata Canyon trail system to support southeastern Washingtons only rescue and sanctuary for farm animals. This scenic route will take place on single-track trails with some paved neighborhood roads starting and finishing at the animal sanctuary. Join us at the sanctuary after the run/waddle to meet the animals you are helping to support, including 5 new residents since last year. We will have a sanctuary tour after the run starting at 10:15 am for all participants.
The top 3 male finishers and the top 3 female finishers for the 5k as well as the first-place finisher for the 1.0 miles will receive a unique finisher gift. All registered participants will receive a glass mason jar etched with one of the sanctuary residents. The highlighted resident changes each year with Freddie featured in 2023 and Sally Sue in 2024.
The address of the sanctuary will be emailed to registered participants on Oct 16th.

The 5k course is mostly single-track trail with some pavement through the Rancho Reata Canyon. The course is primarily flat with a few short but steep climbs. We have heard from participants each year the course is beautiful! -
