Join us for the Turkey Vulture Trot 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in the scenic Thompsonville, Benzie! This exciting event is the perfect way to kick off your Thanksgiving Reconnect Weekend while giving your metabolism a boost. The 5K race will start at 9 AM on the beautiful Mountain Center Road course, followed by the 1-Mile Fun Run at 10 AM. Participants can look forward to a fantastic experience, with awards for the top three men and women in each age group for the 5K and finisher medals for all Fun Run participants.
This year, we're thrilled to introduce chip timing, ensuring accurate race results as you cross the finish line. Plus, the overall male and female winners of the 5K will take home a Crystal Mountain Prize Pack valued at over $200! Registration opens on September 28, with pre-registration costs at $25 for the 5K and $10 for the Fun Run, so don’t miss out! Give your metabolism a boost over Thanksgiving Reconnect Weekend with our Turkey Vulture Trot 5k and 1-Mile Fun Run! The 5K will begin at 9am on Thursday, November 28 on our Mountain Center Road course. The 1-Mile Fun Run will begin at 10am. A portion of the proceeds will benefit North Sky Raptor Sanctuary .
A commemorative medal will be awarded to the top 3 men and women in each age group for the 5K race. All Fun Run participants will receive a finisher medal. The overall male and female winner of the 5K will receive a Crystal Mountain Prize Pack valued at over $200.
We are excited to announce that for our 2024 Turkey Vulture Trot we will now have Chip timing! Runners will receive a bib with a small electronic device that records their time as they cross the starting line and the finish line.

The first 100 5k racers to sign up will receive a water bottle. Race supplies will be available for advance pickup at the Park at Waters Edge on Wednesday, November 27 from 9am - 4pm. Check-in on race day will be in the Kinlochen Lobby outside of The Thistle. Awards ceremony will take place at approximately 10:30am at the Lodge Pavilion Tent, slopeside near the Crystal Clipper.
