The course is one approximately 3.3-mile clockwise loop of Bde Maka Ska, starting and finishing at Thomas Beach. All runners will run an identical course and start, finish, and hand-off at the same location. The combined distance of all four legs is (almost) exactly the traditional half marathon distance of 13.1 miles.

The course is flat and consists entirely of paved roads. The full course is closed to traffic except for Lake Street and Richfield Road, where runners will have a dedicated lane separated from vehicle traffic. There is no on-course fluid station.

All Twilight Relays registrants will receive:

A Twin Cities Twilight Relays-branded performance running hat–four per team, with each runner able to choose between the “classic” event branding or an “alt” designed by our artist in residence
A safe, scenic, and speedy approximately 3.3-mile course around Bde Maka Ska
Official timed results with both overall team times and individual leg split times (split times by leg number, not by individual)
A fun Relay Hub Festival with a team tents area, food, rehydration, music, and partners–details coming soon!
The knowledge that they’re giving back to support our parks, with a portion of each entry fee donated directly to the event’s Official Non-Profit Partner the Minneapolis Parks Foundation, and the opportunity to make an additional donation during registration to support our beautiful Minneapolis parks
The chance to participate in the inaugural edition of an event that is sure to become an instant Twin Cities running community classic!
Oh, and bibs and safety pins, of course–can’t have a race without those.
