The course is one approximately 3.25-mile clockwise loop of Bde Maka Ska, starting and finishing at Thomas Beach. All runners will run an identical course and start, finish, and hand-off at the same location. The combined distance of all four legs is approximately 13 miles.

The course is flat and consists entirely of paved surfaces. The first approximately .55 miles (from the Exchange Zone until Rose Lane) and final approximately .3 miles (from William Berry until the Exchange Zone) are run on roads; the middle portion of the route is run on the paved running (inner) path around Bde Maka Ska. The road portions of the course are fully closed to vehicle traffic; the running path will be open to the public during the event, and while there will be Course Marshals and Lead Cyclists on course for the event, Twilight Relays participants must maintain awareness of their surroundings and be courteous to all other trail users, yielding or slowing if necessary. There is no on-course fluid station.

All Twilight Relays registrants will receive:
-A Twin Cities Twilight Relays-branded piece of sustainably produced apparel–check back later this spring for details!
-A Relay Festival with a food truck, DJ, Athletic Brewing N/A Beer Garden, and lots of good summer running vibes!
-The knowledge that they’re giving back to support our parks, with a portion of each entry fee donated directly to the event’s Official Non-Profit Partner the Minneapolis Parks Foundation, and the opportunity to make an additional donation during registration to support our beautiful Minneapolis parks!
-Official timed results with both overall team times and individual leg split times (split times by leg number, not by individual).
-A safe, scenic, and speedy approximately 3.25-mile course around Bde Maka Ska.
-Oh, and bibs and safety pins, of course–can’t have a race without those.
