The races kick off at 9:45 AM for the 1K, followed by the 3K and 5K at 10:00 AM. Enjoy the beautiful trails that transform from summer walks to winter ski paths, and don’t forget to dress in layers to prepare for the North Shore's unpredictable weather. With a donation-based entry, you can contribute whatever feels right to support local trails. Two Harbors Trail Alliance Turkey Trot
Thursday, November 26 . Erkki Harju Ski Trails, Fairgrounds Rd
Kick off your Thanksgiving on the trails! Choose a 1K, 3K, or 5 K. Runners, walkers, families, and leashed dogs are all welcome. Come to race, or to cheer on the participants. Day-of walk-up registration is welcome. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to race start for day-of registration. COSTUMES ARE WELCOME!!
You'll be on the same trails used for walking in the summer months and cross country skiing in the winter months.
The races
1K: out and back, starts at 9:45 AM. Low-pressure race that's great for the youngsters!
3K: out and back, starts at 10:00 AM. Aid station at the turnaround.
5K: one loop, starts at 10:00 AM. Aid station along the loop.
Aid station: at the main ski trail parking lot. Its the 3K turnaround and a stop on the 5K loop.
Location & parking
Park in the big lot across from the Lake County Fairgrounds on Fairgrounds Rd. Check-in, the start/finish, and the post-race gathering are all at the trailhead. Please arrive 20 minutes before your race to check in if you are already registered.

Late November on the North Shore can bring anything from frosty sunshine to fresh snow. Dress in layers and wear shoes with good traction. Its also hunting season, so wear bright or blaze-orange clothing.
Entry is donation-based
Give whatever feels right to you. Every dollar supports local trails.
Add a navy long-sleeve performance shirt to your registration for $28. Order by THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12. We're ordering only the shirts requested by the deadline, so there WON'T be extras for sale on race day.
AFTER THE RACE
Hot apple cider, coffee, and snacks.
Bonfire.
Awards: The first-place finishers in the 1K, 3K, and 5K, plus our best costume, each win a whole pie for Betty's Pies!
Raffle: Your registration includes one free raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes donated by our amazing local sponsors. Feeling lucky? Grab extra tickets on race day. All proceeds benefit the Two Harbors Trail Alliance!
