Join us at the UAB Veterans Day 5k on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at Railroad Park in Birmingham, Jefferson. This event, organized by UAB Veteran Services, welcomes runners, walkers, ruckers, strollers, and wheelchair racers to honor our veterans and support the UAB Veteran Relief Fund. The fund helps veteran and dependent students with various needs, such as purchasing books and finding housing. Celebrate the 106th anniversary of Armistice Day with us and make a lasting impact. The race will feature chipped bibs for accurate timing, and all 5k participants will receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal. Packet pickup will be available in advance, and volunteer opportunities are also open for those who want to give back. Honor those who have served this Veteran's Day by participating your way. Runners, walkers, ruckers, strollers, and wheelchair racers all are welcome! Presented by UAB Veteran Services, this annual event directly benefits the UAB Veteran Relief Fund. This award aids veteran and dependent students who may need help purchasing books, finding housing, seeking medical care, and much more.
Join us in celebrating the 106th anniversary of Armistice Day, now known as Veterans Day. The tradition began in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1947, and were proud to continue it. Be part of this meaningful event and show your support for our veterans and UAB's student veteran community.
Mark your calendars and lace up your shoes! Let's honor our heroes together and make a lasting impact. See you at the starting line!
This race will be run with chipped bibs, so race results will be available after the race is complete.
