Join us for the 3rd Annual UAB Veterans Day 5K on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the beautiful Railroad Park in Birmingham, Jefferson. This uplifting event honors our nation's veterans while supporting military-connected students at UAB. Since its inception in 2023, the race has united over 1,500 participants and raised more than $20,000 to provide essential relief for students in need. Whether you choose to run, walk, ruck, or roll, everyone is welcome to participate in this inclusive celebration, which coincides with the 107th anniversary of Armistice Day.
The race kicks off at 8:00 AM, and all 5K participants will receive a stylish race shirt and a commemorative finisher medal. This year promises even greater excitement as we continue our mission to show veterans they are appreciated not just on Veterans Day, but every day. Join us on Saturday, November 8, 2025, for the 3rd Annual UAB Veterans Day 5K presented by Viva Health at Railroad Park a meaningful community event dedicated to honoring those who have served and supporting the next generation of military-connected students.
Since launching in 2023, this event has raised over $20,000 and brought together more than 1,500 participants and 200 volunteers in support of UAB veteran and dependent students. Thanks to this communitys generosity, we've already distributed over $9,000 in direct relief to students in need covering essentials like housing, books, and emergency expenses.
This year, were continuing our mission with even greater purpose.
Whether you're a runner, walker, rucker, stroller, or wheelchair racer all are welcome. Lace up to celebrate the 107th anniversary of Armistice Day, and join UAB Veteran Services in continuing a proud tradition that began right here in Birmingham in 1947.
Together, lets show our veterans they are seen, valued, and supported not just on Veterans Day, but every day.
