Event summary
Get ready for an exhilarating day of fun and fitness at the UR Skeleton Run on Sunday, October 13th, 2024, in the scenic Deerfield Town Park! This exciting event offers a variety of race distances, including a Free Kids Quarter Mile race, a 1.5-mile Community run, and a thrilling 5K race, all set against the backdrop of the beautiful wilderness trails. Participants are encouraged to don their favorite costumes (run-safe, of course) as they navigate through the park's scenic pathways, which may get a little muddy!
In addition to the run, there will be awards for the top finishers in the 5K race, including overall winners and the top three in each 10-year age group, extending all the way to 70-79. To give back to the community, runners are invited to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the Deerfield food pantry at the Mohawk Valley Church Food Pantry. Don’t forget to pick up your race packet on Saturday, October 12th, or on race day starting at 8 AM at Deerfield Town Park. Join us for a fantastic day of racing, community spirit, and fun at the 2024 Skeleton Run!

CLOSEDA fun and challenging 5K course on the park trails. Trail conditions include gravel, grass, small hills, and bridge crossings. The trail will have minimal rocks and roots. Professionally timed with prizes for overall winners and 10 year age groups. -

CLOSEDA friendly 1.5 mile run through the first loop of the 5K course. Many participants will walk/jog this course and it's a great introduction to running on trails or for our youth runners. Participants can purchase a shirt at checkout while supplies last. -

CLOSEDThis fun run around the inner grass section in front of the pavilion. Parents are encouraged to accompany their children and are advised to be mindful of excited children quick changing direction, etc. Participants can purchase a shirt at checkout while supplies last. -
