Get ready for the thrilling UR Skeleton Run on Sunday, October 18, 2026, set against the stunning backdrop of Deerfield Town Park's Wilderness trails! This exciting event features a variety of race distances for all ages and abilities, including a Free Kids Quarter Mile race, a spirited Community Run at 1.5 miles, and a challenging 5K race. Participants are encouraged to don their best costumes (run safe, of course) for a fun-filled day that promises to be a muddy adventure!
In addition to the exhilarating races, the UR Skeleton Run aims to give back to the community by inviting runners to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the Deerfield Food Pantry. Awards will be presented for the top finishers in the 5K, including overall winners and the top three in each 10-year age group, extending up to 79 years! Join us for packet pickup on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Sneaker Store in New Hartford or on race day starting at 8 AM at the park. Join us for the Free Kids Quarter mile race, Community run (1.5 mile), or 5K race - all within the beautiful Deerfield Town Park Wilderness trails - it could get muddy!! Costumes (run safe) encouraged! Unfortunately, race cannot support our four legged friends.

A fun and challenging 5K course on the park trails. Trail conditions include gravel, grass, small hills, and bridge crossings. The trail will have minimal rocks and roots. Professionally timed with prizes for overall winners and 10 year age groups. -
Skeleton Community Run (1.5 Mile)

A friendly 1.5 mile run through the first loop of the 5K course. Many participants will walk/jog this course and it's a great introduction to running on trails or for our youth runners. Participants can purchase a shirt at checkout while supplies last. -
Kids Quarter Mile Run (3-12 Year Old)

This fun run around the inner grass section in front of the pavilion. Parents are encouraged to accompany their children and are advised to be mindful of excited children quick changing direction, etc. Participants can purchase a shirt at checkout while supplies last. -
