This exciting event, which has already sold out, showcases the rich 200-year heritage of Louisville and Kentucky's distilling history. Runners will embark on a scenic journey through downtown Louisville and the stunning fall foliage of Cherokee Park, completing either a challenging 13.1-mile half marathon or the shorter, more relaxed 5K.
Participants can look forward to an incredible post-race celebration at the Urban Bourbon Bash, featuring live music by the popular Louisville Crashers. All registered runners will receive a stylish long-sleeved shirt and a unique bourbon-themed medal, while half marathon participants can indulge in bourbon samples, beer, pizza, and soup as part of their registration. The 5K runners can also join in on the fun by purchasing a discounted wristband for the same delicious offerings. Please note that this spirited event is exclusively for those aged 21 and older, so mark your calendars and prepare for a fantastic day of running, celebration, and bourbon appreciation!

The 2025 Urban Bourbon Half Marathon and 5K is SOLD OUT.
The Urban Bourbon Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile experiential destination event that celebrates and promotes 200 years of Louisville and Kentucky distilling history. The race starts and finishes in downtown Louisville and winds through the fall foliage of one of Louisvilles most scenic parks, Cherokee Park. Walkers may participate but must be able to keep an 18:00 minute per mile pace as the course will close at 12 p.m.
We're pouring out something new this year -- introducing the Urban Bourbon 5K, which is a shorter, smoother version of the UBHM.
All UBHM and UB5K participants receive a long-sleeved shirt and unique bourbon-themed medal.
All our registered participants are invited to the award-winner post-race Urban Bourbon Bash, with live music by the Louisville Crashers. UBHM registrants receive bourbon samples, beer, pizza and soup as part of their registration. Our UB5K participants can purchase a discounted wristband on race morning for $20 to enjoy the same bourbon samples, beer, pizza and soup.
Since our Urban Bourbon Half Marathon and 5K are meant for those age 21 or older, and includes bourbon and bourbon-themed medals, you must be 21 or older on Oct. 18, 2025, to register. Online registration will close at 7:59 pm on Oct. 17, 2025.
