The Utah Human Race Thanksgiving 5K was such a memorable experience! This was only my third 5K, and I’m starting to think I might become a runner after all.
I ran this one with four of my friends, and we had an absolute blast. Between trying to stay warm before the race, dancing to the music, and cheering each other on, there was never a dull moment. The energy was contagious, and everyone seemed genuinely excited to be there.
What made this race even more meaningful was knowing we were participating in an event that gives back to the community during the holiday season. It was inspiring to be part of something so much bigger than just a race.
The only thing I wish had been different was that there wasn’t a finisher medal. As someone who’s collecting memories from each of my 5Ks, it would have made crossing the finish line even more special.
