Get ready to celebrate the spirit of summer and the 250th Anniversary of our Great Nation at the Vac & Dash 250-Mile Summer Challenge! Kicking off on Sunday, May 17, 2026, and running through to Friday, September 4, 2026, in the beautiful locale of Albemarle, Stanly, this event is all about embracing fresh air, sunshine, and outdoor exercise. Participants can choose to walk, run, bike, or swim their way through a distance of their choice, including options for 225, 300, 450, or even 600 miles during the challenge period from June 1st to August 31st.
This exciting challenge is open to all residents of the Continental United States, making it a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get moving and enjoy the great outdoors! Whether you're hitting the treadmill or pedaling on an exercise bike, every mile counts toward your goal. The first fifty registrants will even have a chance to win prizes, including a brand new pair of Brooks Shoes. Plus, by logging your miles each month, you’ll be eligible for monthly prizes and a grand prize drawing in September for those who complete at least 250 miles. For just $30, you

To celebrate the 250th Anniversary of our Great Nation, join us for the Vac & Dash 250-Mile Summer Challenge. The summer months are a great time to get out and move.
This three-month challenge is designed to encourage you to move during the summer months.
Treadmill - Exercise Bikes and Peloton miles count.
This challenge is open to anyone in the Continental United States.
The first fifty people that register will have their name in a drawing for prizes including a new pair of Brooks Shoes.
HOW FAR CAN YOU GO? PICK A DISTANCE 225-MILES 300-MILES 450-MILES 600-MILES
Pick a distance on how far you wish to travel by foot, bike or water from June 1st to August 31st. Miles on your treadmill and exercise bikes count. At the end of the August we will have a drawing for prizes of those that reach their goal. Prizes will depend on how many people participate in the challenge.
PRIZES - WE WILL GIVE OUT MONTHLY PRIZES. TO BE ELIGIBLE, YOU MUST LOG YOUR MILES AT THE END OF EACH MONTH.
To be eligible for the final prizes in September, you must reach a minimum of 250-miles.
