Get ready for an exhilarating experience at the annual Valley of Hartford 5K Road Race, taking place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Newington, Capitol! This vibrant event not only promises a day of fun and fitness but also supports a worthy cause—raising funds for the Children's Dyslexia Centers of Connecticut. Participants can enjoy a beautiful two-loop course filled with moderate hills and scenic views, starting and finishing in front of the Scottish Rite Building.
Runners of all ages are encouraged to join, with awards for top finishers in various age divisions and overall male and female champions. The first 200 registrants will receive complimentary T-shirts, and everyone can refuel with free baked pastries, fruits, Gatorade, and water. Plus, wellness services, including massage therapy and Normatec compression boots, will be available to help you recover and connect with the community. Organiser's Description
The annual Valley of Hartford 5K Road Race raises funds to support the Children's Dyslexia Centers of Connecticut. These centers offer one-on-one tutorial sessions to children valued at $5000/child and also offer teacher training programs valued at $10,000/tutor. 100% of the proceeds are distributed to the Children's Dyslexia Centers of Connecticut.
