Runners can tackle the full marathon, which consists of three scenic 8.7-mile loops through the beautiful Capitol Heights, Kleinert, Hundred Oaks, and Webb Park areas, or join in the Mini Marathon, a single 8.7-mile loop perfect for those looking for a shorter challenge.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to have a blast with friends, relay teams of any size can join in the fun, and walkers are warmly welcomed! With race start times scheduled for 1:00 PM for the marathon and 4:00 PM for the Mini Marathon, there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy the open course (please note, there are no road crossing protections). Varsity Baton Rouge is celebrating it's 26th Birthday so naturally that calls for a Marathon Retro Relay. Plus a Mini-Marathon Retro Relay of 8.7 Miles.
MARATHON - (3) 8.7 MILE LOOPS OF CAPITOL HEIGHTS, KLEINERT, HUNDRED OAKS AND WEBB PARK AREAS
MINI MARATHON - (1) 8.7 MILE LOOP
Relay teams can consist of any number of members combined to cover the distance.
Fun, social run on an open course with no road crossing protection. BE CAREFUL.
Water Stops provided.
