The Redbird Run is a highlight of the Virginia BBQ festival, which runs from June 6-8, offering a weekend of community spirit, delicious food, a parade, carnival rides, and a variety of entertainment. With awards for the top male and female runners in several age categories, this event not only encourages fitness but also supports the Virginia Cross Country Team, consisting of dedicated young athletes from local schools. REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICKUP
Race starts at 8:00 am. The packet pick-up/registration will start at 7:00 am with the table at the Virginia High School entrance. Online registration will be closed at this time. Parking is in the Virginia School lots or parking lot or near the ball diamonds.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Redbird Run is a fun 5K run and walk hosted during the Virginia, IL BBQ. The Virginia BBQ is a small town festival with the support of a dashing community. To go along with our race, Virginia BBQ will have a pageant, vendors, parade, carnival rides, and tons of entertainment from June 6-8.
The Virginia Cross Country Team will be hosting this exciting event. The Virginia Cross Country Team consists of fifth - twelfth graders from both Virginia and Triopia schools. From August to October, the athletes participate in 25 meets around the central area. Last year, we had two Jr. High athletes (one male, one female) compete in the State Meet in Normal, IL. We also had one High School athlete compete at IHSA Sectionals. Our other athletes made huge improvements by dropping time and hitting personal bests.
The money raised from the event will go toward celebrating student success during and after the season, new uniforms, and new workout equipment.

Race will begin and end near Virginia School. During the race, you will go by the Virginia BBQ Square, Cass County Fair Grounds, Rexroat Prairie, Virginia Park, and view the wonderful city of Virginia.
