Event summary

Get ready for an exciting adventure with the Virtual Morgan Miles Across New York, taking place from May 15 to August 23, 2024! This unique event, hosted in East Bloomfield, Ontario, invites Morgan horse enthusiasts to virtually traverse the beautiful landscapes of New York State, aiming to cover a total of 100 miles in just 100 days. Participants can enjoy the freedom of tracking their miles on their own terms, whether riding on trails, in arenas, or on tracks, as long as it's not in the show ring.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with fellow riders, share your progress, and earn badges at every 10-mile marker along the way. Best of all, it's free for members of the New York Morgan Horse Society! Each rider will receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the challenge, making this a rewarding experience for all involved. So saddle up, enjoy the ride, and remember: the journey is just as important as the destination!

Organiser's Description

MORGAN MILES ACROSS NEW YORK

A new trail adventure brought to you by the New Yok Morgan Horse Society.

Many of us enjoy our Morgans on the trails, but organized trail rides and trail ride high points have gone away. This new challenge is an opportunity to track your miles and share the results with friends. This virtual trail ride is loosely modeled after other virtual rides that have come into existence the last few years.

This event, sponsored by the NYSMHS will be free to members. You will be riding or driving (virtually) across New York State, covering 100 miles in 100 days, and receive badges at 10-mile markers.

START DATE IS MAY 15, 2024. NO MILES WILL BE COUNTED BEFORE THAT. FINISH WILL BE AUG 23, 2024. Watch the Trader and the website for information on sign up. You will sign up and be assigned a bib number. Participants enter their own miles, on their honor, at the site. If your trail miles are in an arena or on a track, those count, but not show ring miles. One horse, one rider, one hundred miles. If you want to enter two horses, each will be tracked separately. Certificates of completion will be sent at the end of the event. No bonus points for speed. The idea is to have fun.

Remember, to finish is to win! Enjoy the ride!
