Organiser's Description
Being Forces for Change in our community requires thinking outside the box to find ways that we can overcome obstacles and find innovative solutions to problems. We know this year has been hard for everyone and this First Lego League season has been different in many ways. But one thing does not change: the fact that we can face these challenges together, be creative, and find ways to make our community stronger. The ideas and values at the core of our program resonate in all that we do as FLL teams. So during these times, we work for _INNOVATION_, _DISCOVER_ new things about ourselves, find new ways to be_ INCLUSIVE_, make an _IMPACT_ on our community, and have some _FUN_ along the way.
With this year's global challenge focused on becoming more active, the Mind M.O.N.C.S. FLL team is hosting the Course for Change Virtual 5K and Beyond to rally the teams and give us a chance to work together for a good cause. Donations collected from this race will be given to Hornet City Robotics to provide start-up and competition grants for Delaware's First LEGO League teams in need.
So let's get our shoes on, treadmills powered up, courses tracked, and step counters on, as we join together in the Course for Change Virtual 5K!

This is a fundraising event for the non-profit team, Marian Mechanics and the FIRST Spark Hub Project at the Iron Hill Science Center in Newark, De. All proceeds will go to help support the projects mission which is making STEM accessible for all. The team will be traveling to The World Robotics Championship to share the FIRST Spark Hub Model with the global teams, educators, and Mentors as a solution for reaching students interested in STEM in underrepresented areas.
