This exciting day combines fitness and fun with a 5K Fun Run and a Wellness Walk through the scenic Route 66 Park at Lake Overholser. Participants can look forward to a range of activities, including a health fair beginning at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K Fun Run kicking off at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Walk for Wellness at 9:30 a.m.
This inclusive event welcomes both patients and non-patients to engage in a healthy lifestyle while enjoying a day filled with community spirit. Registered runners will receive a T-shirt and a medal, while walkers will also receive a stylish T-shirt. The health fair and cultural activities are completely free, providing a fantastic opportunity to gather valuable information from local community partners. JOIN US FOR A WALK FOR WELLNESS AND 5K FUN RUN THROUGH RT. 66 PARK AT LAKE OVERHOLSER. REGISTERED RUNNERS WILL RECEIVE A T-SHIRT AND MEDAL, AND REGISTERED WALKERS WILL RECEIVE A T-SHIRT. THESE EVENTS ARE OPEN TO PATIENTS AND NON-PATIENTS, WITH THE WALK AND HEALTH FAIR AT NO COST AND THE 5K FUN RUN INCLUDES A SMALL FEE. EVERYONE WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE INFORMATION FROM COMMUNITY PARTNERS IN THE OKLAHOMA CITY METRO AND PARTICIPATE IN A HEALTH FAIR AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES. ONE OF OUR EVENT OBJECTIVES IS TO EDUCATE OUR PARTICIPANTS ON DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. WE PROVIDE WATER AT THE EVENT TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPANTS TO REMAIN HYDRATED AND PROMOTE HEALTHY BEVERAGES, AS WELL AS A HEALTHY SNACK TO PROMOTE HEALTHY EATING AFTER WORKING OUT.
