On Saturday, April 12, 2025, join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of passionate walkers at the Hillsborough County Tax Collector located at 3030 N Falkenburg Rd, Tampa, FL 33619. This event marks a pivotal moment in the fight against child sexual abuse, coinciding with National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Participants can choose between a 5-mile walk to our water break stop or challenge themselves with the full 11-mile loop back to the starting point. Registration kicks off at 8:30 AM, with the walk officially starting at 9:30 AM. Not only will you be making a difference with every step you take, but you'll also receive an Uber code to help you get back to the starting line after the event. Join us for a day filled with purpose and community spirit while championing a vital cause!

Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2025 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal.

We'll start registration at the Hillsborough County Tax Collector's Office on Falkenburg Rd. at 8:30 AM on Saturday, April 12th, and begin walking at 9:30 AM. Our first walk section is 5 miles, and we'll take a short water break once complete. Those who wish to finish the walk will continue walking back to the Hillsborough County Tax Collector (3030 N Falkenburg Rd, Tampa, FL 33619) - another 6 miles - where we'll end the day and celebrate! Like in years past, we are partnering with Uber to provide the ability for walkers to drop at any point they wish and ride share their way off of the walk route. Ride Share codes will be provided to walkers at registration. All participants will receive a t-shirt and drawstring backpack at registration.
