Every step taken during this event contributes to the fight against child sexual abuse and helps survivors on their healing journey. An UBER code will be provided to ensure a safe return, making this a day filled with purpose, community, and support. Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2026 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal.

Join us for a 4-mile walk to Publix Super Market at Merganser Commons (5854 Dogwood Dr, Milton, FL 32570) with the opportunity to stop or continue walking our full 8-mile back to Santa Rose Kids House!
An UBER code will be provided to walkers to cover the cost of a ride back from the walk.

We'll start registration at Santa Rose Kids House at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 23rd, and begin to walk at 11:30 AM. Our first walk section is 4 miles, and we'll take a short water break at the Publix Super Market at Merganser Commons (5854 Dogwood Dr., Milton, FL 32570). Those who wish to finish the walk will continue walking to back to Santa Rose Kids House - another 4 miles - where we'll have our final celebration! All participants will receive a t-shirt and drawstring backpack at registration. Like in years past, we are partnering with Uber to provide the ability for walkers to drop at any point they wish and ride share their way off of the walk route. Free ride share codes will be provided to walkers at registration. Please make sure to have the Uber app downloaded to your phone prior to your arrival.
